Conflict resolution is the marriage of communication and problem solving techniques. Through conflict resolution and mediation, parties involved in a dispute are provided with the opportunity to openly discuss areas where discord exists, guided by a trained mediator/facilitator.

IPA is directly involved in conflict resolution through its Conflict Resolution Program (CRP), a resource dedicated to supporting transformational and organizational changes using democratic practices in nonprofit, public, government, and educational settings.
